What to Expect

Here at Children's Family Chiropractic we care for adults, expecting moms, children, newborns....EVERYONE!   Our vertebrae encase the spinal cord and the nerves that exit and enter the cord which go through little notches in the spine. When certain types of TRAUMA, TOXINS or NEGATIVE THOUGHTS that our body cannot adapt to changes the position of these vertebrae out of their proper place or makes them stuck, or less able to move properly, spinal nerve pressure occurs. This is called a SUBLUXATION. These subluxations can torque and pull on the spinal cord. Chiropractors are trained to locate, detect and help your body correct these subluxations so there is no interference between the brain and the rest of the body.  So, if you know someone with a spinal cord, they should be seeing a chiropractor for general health and wellness.

Our chiropractors here at CFC are in high demand and keeping regular appointments, by scheduling in advance, will allow you to get the appointment times you want, keep you healthy in-between appointments and require less last minute emergency sick appointments.  Also, please note that if you do not schedule an appointment within a years time then you will need to be reestablished as a new client.  This may involve longer wait times, needing a new thermal scan or being switched to a different chiropractor within the practice who is accepting new clients.   Thanks for understanding.

First Visit for Adults

We will start with a CONSULTATION time, which  is just speaking with the doctor in an effort to get information about what has happened with your spine during your lifetime that may have caused your subluxations.   We will also do a neurological examination and an exam on your spinal musculature using two noninvasive computer tests which objectively looks at how your nervous system is working and how your musculature is reacting to the subluxation. These tests are called INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY and SURFACE EMG (electromyography).  They are completely non-invasive for adults, pregnant women, infants and children.  X-RAYS are beneficial to create a better plan of care, we will take the minimum amount necessary (we do not perform x-rays on expecting women). X-rays are used primarily on adults to determine structure and degenerative processes. They allow the chiropractor to be more specific and exact during your care. 

Babies, Children & Teens

We  are passionate about getting kids off to the very best start.  As the quote goes by F. Douglass "It is easier to build strong children, than to repair broken adults".  Below you can watch a video of Dr. Heather adjusting a newborn and you will see that is a very gentle process which looks more like a massage.  A first appointment with a baby, child or teen will involve going over history, doing a thermal scan on everyone 6 and older,  and then the actual adjustment with thorough explanations throughout the visit.   We typically don't do x-rays on children or teens, unless there is a more significant concern, like scoliosis.   

Subluxation

Trauma, toxins & emotional stress that cause vertebrae to be out of alingnment, resulting in functional loss.

Expecting Moms

It is a great joy coming alongside expecting moms to help assist in a healthy pregnancy and delivery.  All of our chiropractors are Webster Certified, which means they are specialized in pelvic care for the expecting mom.  Our chiropractors work alongside many midwives and doulas and are well known in the Northern Kentucky birthing community with helping moms through the whole process from prenatal care, during delivery and of course, our favorite time, is post birth when you bring those cute bundles in for their first visit.

Pricing & Insurance

We offer Chiropractic Adjustments for only $40per visit.   First visits will vary in price from $40-$205 depending on the type of care and services received.  We accept Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover as well as HSA and FSA forms of payment. We are an out of network provider and we do not bill insurance companies.  We can offer you a special receipt that contains all of the necessary information (codes, costs, etc.) that you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement if you would like. This can also be used for any verification for use of HSA or FSA cards or for tax purposes.

 

We also have HEALTH SAVINGS PLANS that allow you to purchase multiple visits at once for even more savings, helpful for those who need to come frequently or for those with multiple family members receiving chiropractic care who can share a multiple visit plan.  

 

We run our office this way to keep our fees low for those who have high deductible and/or co-pay insurance or little to no chiropractic coverage at all.  This enables us to take care of more people who need care more effectively without the insurance companies "getting in the way of your health!"
